Project Cornerstone
Middle School Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Curriculum
Middle School is a time of significant social and emotional development. Volunteers are trained to deliver monthly Middle School SEL curriculum to students, with the goal of:
- Enhancing students' capacity to effectively manage challenges and solve problems.
- Supporting youth in acquiring the skills and behaviors to better understand and manage emotions and social behaviors.
- Providing students with strengthened planning and responsible decision-making skills.
- Positively impacting students' academic performance.
For parent volunteers, the benefits of engaging in this program include:
- Increasing the number of healthy and positive relationships a youth experiences while at school.
- Being a caring adult role model for youth.
- Helping youth access resources for better social and emotional well-being.
