Middle School Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Curriculum

Middle School is a time of significant social and emotional development. Volunteers are trained to deliver monthly Middle School SEL curriculum to students, with the goal of:

  • Enhancing students' capacity to effectively manage challenges and solve problems.
  • Supporting youth in acquiring the skills and behaviors to better understand and manage emotions and social behaviors.
  • Providing students with strengthened planning and responsible decision-making skills.
  • Positively impacting students' academic performance.

For parent volunteers, the benefits of engaging in this program include:

  • Increasing the number of healthy and positive relationships a youth experiences while at school.
  • Being a caring adult role model for youth.
  • Helping youth access resources for better social and emotional well-being.
